Designer Mariuccia Mandelli founded the label Krizia in Milan in 1954 with her husband Aldo Pinto. Although she trained as a teacher, Mandelli’s dream had long been to create beautiful clothes. She was determined about following her passion, making a formidable saleswoman when she began selling her own handmade fashions door to door – first skirts, then dresses.
